It will depend on if you want to integrate just the weather data or both the weather and ballistics data. If you need the ballistics (and/or weather) data, please send an email with a high level description of the project to Tech Support Email.

No the DROP will not connect with the Kestrel LiNK Ballistics app. The app does not have a ballistic solver in it so you need to have a 2700 or 5700 in order for it to work correctly. However there are other 3rd party apps that will work with the DROP. Here is a list of them: 3rd Party Apps

Even though it shows connected, something is interfering with this connection. To troubleshoot:

  1. Ensure app permissions are set in your phone's app settings
  2. Reboot your phone
  3. Do a reset on the Kestrel. Take out battery, hold down power for 30 seconds, put battery back in
  4. Try reconnecting to the Kestrel Ballistics app

If you are having trouble with the Kestrel 5700 receiving data after reconnecting to the Vortex Fury after the Fury powers down, please try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Disconnect Rangefinder from Kestrel
  2. Connect the Rangefinder to the Vortex Fury mobile app
  3. Go to Settings and select "Clear Paired Devices"
  4. Reconnect to the app one more time and then disconnect
  5. Pair the Vortex Fury to the Kestrel and the issue should be cleared

Unfortunately this will not be available at the launch of the product. We hope to eventually have this integrated at a point in the future however.
