Frequently Asked Questions
What do the asterisks (*) mean on the Kestrel 5700 units?
There are several places where asterisks appear on the Kestrel and they are strictly visual clues as to certain parameters are set/not set
- If there is an asterisk next the range on the main ballistic screen - This means the inclination angle is not zero
- If there is an asterisk next to the wind speed on the main ballistic screen - This means that aerodynamic jump is turned off in the environment menu
- If there is an asterisk next to Eunit or Wunit in the gun sub menu - This means that the SSF is not set to 1.000
- There will always be an asterisk next to Lead in the range card - This means it needs to be manually added or subtracted to the windage as it is not factored in
