Ballistics Upgrades Have Moved to the Kestrel Ballistics App

We've retired firmware upgrade purchases (like the 5700 to 5700 Elite, and Sportsman to 5700 Elite upgrades) from this page. Upgrading your Kestrel meter to unlock more advanced, extreme long-range ballistics features is now handled directly through the Kestrel Ballistics App.

What This Means for You

• No more download files or connection accessories required. Upgrades are managed in-app, so you no longer need a Bluetooth dongle or USB Transfer Cable just to install an upgrade.
• Faster access. Upgrades are available as soon as your purchase is complete! You no longer need to wait on emailed files or delivery windows.
• One place for everything. Manage your meter's ballistics profile, applicators, and upgrade options all from the app.

How to Upgrade Your Meter

1. Download the Kestrel Ballistics App from the iOS App Store or Google Play.
2. Connect your Kestrel 5700, Ruger Kestrel 5700, or Kestrel 5 Series Sportsman meter to the app via Bluetooth.
3. Go to the Upgrades section within the app to view available upgrade options for your specific meter.
4. Select the Elite upgrade, complete your purchase, and it will install directly to your device.
